Our Organization
The name OurCare, Inc. was selected to reflect the organization’s services towards persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The corporation is registered to do business in the State of Maryland and complies with the State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene – Office of Health Care Quality (DHMH-OHCQ) to provide housing, health, medical, and personal care services as needed by individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
OurCare, Inc. has established an alternative living unit (ALU) to provide residential services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The primary focus is not only on housing but also on creating an environment that fosters love, gives quality home care, encourages growth in spirit and progress, and provides care to those who need it.
OurCare, Inc. seeks to ensure consistent quality care and respect for each resident. We highly believe that the highest level of service can be achieved by having the highest quality of staff working in a supportive environment in which there are sound policies and procedures.
Policies and procedures have been established as guidelines, rules, and directives to govern the employees’ operation within our establishment, maintain order, organization, and promote a standard routine of operation. We have also composed a manual containing a comprehensive composition of the various policies and procedures, addressing issues that may arise in our aim to serve individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities competently.
As a provider of developmental disability care in various settings, we make our services available regardless of their race, color, creed, sex, age, national origin, marital status, or physical or mental capabilities. We do our best to offer them services that help them live comfortable and happy lives that also allow them to live independently and create their own decisions about their lives.

With these, we strive to guide them in obtaining their maximum desired mental and physical capabilities, emotional maturity, and skills that allow them the opportunity to have autonomy.

We aim to give more people the chance to reach their full potentials by giving them access to resources, including education and training. With this, we aim to help them live their lives according to their preferences, needs, and choices.
